Fully immersed in your target language
Only the target language is spoken in the classroom in order to put emphasis on relevant communication skills and maximise student participation.
Our native-speaker instructors are Berlitz trained with international work experience. As well as our friendly and welcoming staff, at Berlitz Oxford we have great resources and facilities in the Language Centre, combining a charming, traditional Oxford building with everything we need to teach effectively in the classrooms.
The Berlitz Method®
Maximilian Berlitz established the Berlitz Method teaching style in 1878, and the effective, conversational approach has remained at the heart of our language instruction for 145 years.
Presenting practical vocabulary and grammar in the context of real-life situations, the Berlitz Method focuses on speaking the target language. Our instructors use a communicative approach based on listening and speaking, supplementing study with relevant reading and writing exercises, so students take on a new language the same way they did their first – with natural ease.

Students can concentrate on classroom study for half-a-day while allowing the other half-a-day for those who have deal with work or home commitments, this schedule gives you more time to make phone calls and answer emails.
