We will work with you in the development of your course, discussing your progress to meet your language goals.
All students are level assessed at the beginning of their time with us. In group classes, students will be placed in groups of a similar level to ensure maximum progression. In one-to-one lessons, we will adapt the course to exactly meet any requirements in terms of level and content. We also can specialise on industry-specific vocubulary and content.

Oxford is the perfect environment to practise your English where you get the opportunity to speak all day. Students continue learning outside the classroom by practising newly aquired English ability in restaurants, museums, shops and on the bus too!
Fully immersed in English
Only English is be spoken in the classroom in order to put emphasis on relevant communication skills and maximise student participation.
Our native-speaker instructors are both Berlitz trained and CELTA-qualified, with international work experience. As well as our friendly and welcoming staff, at Berlitz Oxford we have great resources and facilities in the Language Centre, combining a charming, traditional Oxford building with everything we need to teach effectively in the classrooms.
The Berlitz Method®
Maximilian Berlitz established the Berlitz Method teaching style in 1878, and the effective, conversational approach has remained at the heart of our language instruction for 145 years.
Presenting practical vocabulary and grammar in the context of real-life situations, the Berlitz Method focuses all speaking on learning the English language. Our instructors use a communicative approach based on listening and speaking, supplementing study with relevant reading and writing exercises, so students take on a new language the same way they did their first – with natural ease.
